Emotional Intelligence (evaluated through your EQ) is, therefore, the art of knowing how to control your emotions in many situations.

Not being able to control your emotions can often put you in bad situations and even possibly ruin your life.

Tips to control your emotions :

  • The first advice is to learn to identify your own emotions. Indeed, this is the first step in learning how to control them. Recognizing your own emotions will make it easier for you to anticipate your reactions in all types of situations.
  • Opt for a Zen attitude. That is, to be able to remain neutral in any situation and not to overreact. A Zen attitude makes it easier to solve complex situations because it allows conflicts to be resolved more calmly and therefore more thoughtfully. 
  • Only talk to people you trust. Talking about your own problems or a complicated situation will help you to relativize, put it into perspective and maybe find a solution to your problem.
  • Talking to yourself can also be a great way to manage your emotions. Indeed, adopting short sentences will allow you to transform your sadness into hope, for example…
